Hello Homeschool Peter Pan families! We’ve been having a great time and making lots of progress in our weekly rehearsals! Here is some info to keep in mind as we progress deeper into the rehearsal process:
We’re asking that any food with peanuts not be brought into our building. We have several students this semester with severe peanut allergies, and we want to ensure their safety while they’re in our care!
Practicing is now more important than ever! We’re now getting into the part of our semester where students have several things to work on at home. A practicing schedule can help manage that workload and keep stress at bay!
It is essential that your students be able to access their music and choreography videos to make sure they are practicing correctly and often! At Spark, we understand there are different comfort levels around students having access to the internet. Having a game-plan for how and when your students can use those resources can help!
Your students should now be regularly practicing their music without the vocal tracks whenever possible! If they are working on a song that’s been choreographed, have them practice singing and dancing at the same time!
I will be making a video on the harmonies for the song “I Won’t Grow Up.” Lost Boys, Pirates, and Johns, Michaels, and Peters will need to review that so they can get comfortable with those parts. You can expect that video to come out around Friday, and it will be posted on the Youtube choreography playlist!
Finally, we are including a lift in the song “I’m Flying.” To those involved in that lift, please do not try to practice that at home or unmonitored by your choreographer or director. We will do a lift call each week to practice and keep safety at the forefront of our show!
