October 3rd:

Hello Homeschool Wizard of Oz Families! We are having so much fun in our rehearsals! Here’s some info for this week:

• The following songs need to be practiced without the vocal tracks from now on: Munchkinland 1 and Munchkinland 2, Yellow Brick Road, Jitterbug, If I Only Had a Brain/Heart/Nerve, and Merry Old Land of Oz.

• For any students with lines: Now is the time to be actively working on line memorization. As we block scenes each week, please work at home to get those scenes off book for next time.

• Aubrey B, please look over the rehearsal video for The Cyclone and practice what Camryn does.

• Cece, Janie, and Owen, please look over the rehearsal video for If I Only Had the Nerve.

• Janie, please learn the choreo for If I Only Had a Heart from the video. You will be Stevie’s part.

September 13th:

Hello Homeschool Wizard parents! We’re cruising right along and having a great time in our rehearsals! Here is some info to help your students as we go into this next week:

• Students should be prepared to sing Munchkinland 1 and 2, as well as Yellow Brick Road without the voices from this point forward! Make sure to practice choreo while singing!

• For Toto: Please start bringing a pair of knee pads as soon as you are able!

• For Dorothy: We will be sending a link sometime this week to purchase character shoes.

• Anyone with lines in Scenes 1, 4, and 7, please start going over them this week as we will be blocking those scenes on Tuesday! No need to be off book yet but be familiar with the lines.
